ANKARA (AA) -Turkish Historical Society (TTK) has commenced a study
to compile a comprehensive historical corpus with the contribution
of a broad group of scholars that will cover relations between Turkey
and Armenia.
Chairman of Turkish Historical Society Professor Mehmet Metin Hulagu
told the Anadolu Agency that the corpus was composed of authentic
essays of scholars, which would illuminate political and social ties
between the Turkish and Armenian societies.
"The corpus study will consist of essays that would reveal every
aspect of Turkish and Armenian societies and examine the social issues
in particular. This study will also be a preparation for centenary of
Armenian genocide claims in 2015 and a Turkish-Armenian history will be
re-written and it is planned to be completed in a year", said Hulagu.
Hulagu said this corpus would not only deal with historical and
political issues in Turkish-Armenian relations, but it would also
deal with artistic, social and cultural interactions, adding that
the academicians who wanted to take place in the study could apply
via website of Turkish Historical Society.
