FOREST RESTORATION UNDERWAY IN ARMENIA

Forest restoration activities will be conducted in Armenia this year
in an area of 400 hectares, the Agriculture Ministry's Hayantar
(Armforest) company official Armen Nalbandyan told Armenian
News-NEWS.am.
Along the lines of a German Society for International Cooperation
(GIZ) program, 200 hectares of forests are being restored nearby
Aparan and Hrazdan cities.
With a World Wildlife Fund (WWF) program, 100 hectares of forests
are being restored near Gugark and Noyemberyan cities.
Another 100 hectares of forests are being restored by the efforts of
Vallex Group of Armenia.
To note, no allocations have been made from the Armenian state budget
for the restoration of the forests.
