HERITAGE PREPARES FOR A "NATIONWIDE" REVOLUTION AFTER 21 SEPTEMBER 2013

Heritage Party is preparing for a nationwide revolution that will
take place in autumn 2013, Heritage Leader Raffi Hovannisian said at
a press conference on Friday.
He thinks that the latest global and domestic processes have led to
the fact that Armenia has found itself on the verge of annihilation and
loss of its statehood. To prove this, he pointed at the growth in the
Russian gas prices, sale of Russian military hardware to Azerbaijan,
the contradiction between Russia and the European Union, with Armenia
intending to initial the EU Association Agreement, the complicated
socio-economic situation in the light of the latest growth in energy,
transport and food prices, as well as the wave of discontent expressed
by the veterans of the Karabakh war.
To overcome the current situation, Hovannisian suggested holding
a roundtable with all political forces before September 21. "I am
ready to discuss the solutions to the current situation even with the
Republican Party though I don't recognize its power", he stressed. He
added that if the political forces fail to respond to his proposal
before September 21, he will come out with a "public proposal".
However, he did not specify what he meant by it.
He also pointed out that his fight for change of power was not over
with the past presidential elections. "I have already visited 5
regions of the republic. Today I will visit Vanadzor and Gyumri, and
tomorrow I will go to Artashat and Armavir. We will smoothly prepare
for a nationwide revolution that will take place in autumn this year",
said Hovannisian. He refuted the opinion that his actions are dictated
by Moscow or Washington.
