RENOWNED ARMENIAN SHOWMAN IS HOSPITALIZED IN CRITICAL CONDITION

YEREVAN. - Well-known Armenian announcer and TV personality Mark
Saghatelyan was urgently transferred to capital city Yerevan's Nairi
Medical Center on Tuesday.
He was diagnosed with acute leukemia, he is in the reanimation ward,
and is in critical situation, a Center representative informed
Armenian News-NEWS.am.
According to our information, Saghatelyan was to travel to Germany
on Tuesday evening, to undergo a medical examination, but his trip
is postponed due to his deteriorating health.
To note, producer Grigor Nazaryan, and announcer and TV personality
Mark Saghatelyan were involved in a car crash at a Yerevan intersection
on June 22, 2012, at around 1:30am. An Opel and a Volkswagen had
crashed for yet unknown reasons. As a result, Volkswagen's driver
Grigor Nazaryan, 41, and passenger Mark Saghatelyan, 41, had sustained
injuries and were transferred to No. 1 University Clinic, and then
to Mikayelyan Surgery Center.
Subsequently, Saghatelyan was transferred to Erebuni Medical Center,
where he was operated on his hip joint. No criminal case was launched.
