EX-PRIME MINISTER APPOINTED MEMBER OF ARMENTEL BOARD OF DIRECTORS

"Haykakan Zhamanak" says that about a week ago the former Prime
Minister of Armenia, Rector of the Russian-Armenian (Slavonic)
University Armen Darbinian was appointed member of the Board of
Directors of ArmenTel CJSC. The Board of Directors is composed of
5 members, and only Armen Darbinian is an Armenian, the rest are
Russians.
In early May Andrey Pyanakhin was appointed Director General of
ArmenTel, while Andrey Ponomarev became Director of the company's
fixed-line telephony network.
