ARA GULER'S PHOTO EXHIBITION TO OPEN AT NATIONAL GALLERY OF ARMENIA

YEREVAN, Armenia, May 31 (Xinhua) -- The photo exhibition of renowned
photographer Ara Guler will be held at the National Gallery in Yerevan
for three months since June 4, Armenia's Ministry of Culture said
on Friday.
The Istanbul-born Armenian photographer, also known as the Eye of
Istanbul, was recognized as one of the world's seven outstanding
photographers in 1961 by the British Photography Yearbook.
In 1962, he received the title of Master of Leica in Germany. The
84-year-old talented photographer took pictures of Winston Churchill,
Picasso, Salvador Dali among other world-known faces.
Most of Guler's works were on display in a special collection in Paris.
