Military academy will open in Armenia next year

YEREVAN. - A military academy will open in Armenia in 2014, Armenian
Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan said during a briefing on the
Armenia-Azerbaijan border.
The Academy will prepare strategic level and military education
received here will match the master's degree.
Defense Minister recalled that a concept of military education has
been elaborated. Ohanyan said that in recent years serious attention
has been given to updating army with professional sergeants.
In parallel, contract service is being expanded. This, in particular,
refers to border areas. Local residents are involved in combat alert
duty. This solves two problems - border security and employment.
