June 08, 2013 | 13:59
YEREVAN. - The opposition Heritage Party-led `Barev [Hello], Yerevan'
faction of the Armenian capital city Yerevan Council of Elders
attended the first session of the council on Saturday, but it
boycotted the voting.
The faction presented its corresponding arguments, which are as follows:
1) The draft agenda, which was introduced to the session, was put into
circulation without approval.
2) In protest against the falsified results of the Yerevan Council of
Elders elections.
To note, three Council commissions were given to the ruling Republican
Party and one commission was given to the non-pro-government
Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP). Also, the PAP voted in favor of all
proposals and gave a standing round of applause to Yerevan Mayor Taron
Margaryan.
