ARMENIAN SPEAKER PRAISES GEORGIAN EFFORTS TO ATTRACT INVESTMENTS
June 11, 2013 | 12:51
YEREVAN. - Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Hovik Abrahamyan praised
Georgia's moves on attracting investments, saying the Armenian side
must follow the lead.
"A mayor in Georgia is providing investors with free of charge areas
in the center," he said during the debates on granting tax exemptions
to Dilijan International School. Abrahamyan stated such investments
are opening new jobs and help tackle social problems. Foreign
investors are not forming a queue to bring money to Armenia, he
emphasized.
However, Abrahamyan shared concerns of the opposition MPs, adding that
the project of the school must be introduced to the lawmakers.
"They want money but do not explain for what," he added.
