ARMENIAN PM FINDS UNIQUE METHOD TO "SIDETRACK" OFFSHORE SCANDAL? - NEWSPAPER
June 12, 2013 | 06:48
YEREVAN. - Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan's circles decided to
"sidetrack" the story of the offshore organization that is linked to
Sargsyan's name by way of registering similar organizations, Hraparak
daily reports.
"We have found that such organizations are registered under the
names of [opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) bloc National
Assembly (NA) Faction leader, ANC Party Vice-Chairman] Levon Zurabyan,
[non-pro-government Prosperous Armenia Party NA Faction Secretary]
Naira Zohrabyan, [ANC Party Chairman, First President] Levon
Ter-Petrosyan, and [many] others.
In this way, they want to prove that anyone can register an offshore
organization under anyone's name, without his consent, [and] even
without having his passport. It is solely necessary to pay a 40-50
euro state duty and to input the person's coordinates on the Internet,"
Hraparak writes.
