SPAIN'S FOREIGN MINISTRY REPLIES TO AZERBAIJAN'S NOTE OF PROTEST

It is said that Spain recognizes the principle of territorial integrity
and supports peaceful solution of Nagorno Karabakh conflict
Spain's Foreign Ministry has replied to the note of protest sent by
Azerbaijan regarding opera singer Montserrat Caballe's visit to the
occupied Azerbaijani territories, APA reports.
Spanish Foreign Ministry has said that such visits paid on personal
initiatives do not change the official position of the state. It is
said that Spain recognizes the principle of territorial integrity
like all other principles of the international law and supports the
international community's efforts towards the peaceful solution of
Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
On June 5, Azerbaijan's embassy in Spain submitted a note of protest
to Spain's Foreign Ministry regarding the illegal visit of Montserrat
Caballe to the occupied Nagorno Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.
