Baku. Victoria Dementyeva - APA. "The unresolved Nagorno Karabakh
conflict poses a threat to transnational security," said Richard
Weitz, Senior Fellow and Director of the Center for Political-Military
Analysis at the Hudson Institute, APA reports.
He said that the problems in the centre of Eurasia such as Karabakh,
Abkhazia, Transnistria are source of danger. According to the expert,
the Nagorno Karabakh conflict arose as a result of Stalin's policy:
"The collapse of the Soviet Union has caused confrontations in a
number of the post-Soviet republics. The places of ethnic groups are
not always in line with real borders. This problem exists not only
in the region, but everywhere."
