Kharberd Orphanage is a state orphanage that houses approximately 240
children with special needs between the ages of six and 18. The
Sponsorship Program is the primary mechanism through which SOAR
provides support to specific orphaned Armenians. We are seeking
sponsorship funds ($600/year) that will be used entirely and
exclusively for Arsen Khachatryan (picture and profile below).

Family history: Arsen was born in Russia. He lived briefly
in the Shengavit Community in Yerevan, but, because of his special
needs, was moved to Kharberd Orphanage.
Health history and current medical conditions: Arsen is moderately
mentally retarded and has a residual organic infection of the central
nervous system.
Special interests, talents, and hobbies: Arsen is able to use a
computer and can read and write. He likes to draw and dance and
actively participates in all of the performances organized by the
facility.
We offer two types of sponsorships: a Full Sponsorship ar $600/yr.
($50/mo. payment plan available) or a Special Occasion Package ($150
