SPAYKA COMPANY TO BUY APRICOTS FROM VILLAGERS FOR AMD 500 PER KG

Spayka company is willing to buy apricots from villagers for AMD 500
per kg, Armenian Deputy Minister of Agriculture Robert Makaryan told
our correspondent following a visit to Ararat province.
We should remind that residents of several villages of Artashat
region, Ararat province of Armenia, blocked today the roads leading
to the villages of Kakhtsrashen and Aygezard in protest of low prices
offered for apricot harvest by exporters.
"From tomorrow Spayka will buy apricots for AMD 500 per kg. We are
currently negotiating with other exporters so that they carry out
procurement within that price range," said the Deputy Minister.
