HAYKAKAN ZHAMANAK: ARARAT GOVERNOR GOES ON HOLIDAY AS INSPECTIONS ON
09:09 ~U 20.06.13
Strangely enough, Ararat Governor Edik Barseghyan's holiday has
coincided with large-scale inspections in the region, which have
showed scandalous results.
Gross violations were reported. Specifically, Jonik Abrahamyan, brother
of Armenian Parliament Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan laid hands on 48,000
of the 70,000 liters of diesel fuel provided to the Mkhchyan village.
Sources close to the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) report
that the inspectors of Armenia's Ministry of Finance tried to find
out how the fuel was distributed.
"The governor considered it advisable to go on a holiday until the
situation clears up," the newspaper writes.
