The paper says it has learned from the Azerbaijani media that two
citizens of the country illegally crossed the Armenian border on
June 7, finding themselves in one of the villages of the southern
region Sisian.
The men, Mahir and Fazil, reportedly wanted to visit the sacred
place, called Gyrkhlar. A video footage of the site is posted on the
Azerbaijani Anspress which has published the report.
The footage features two men speaking Azerbaijani and delivering a
prayer. The surrounding mountains and valleys give absolutely no hint
as to the specific geographic location.
Speaking to the paper, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense,
Artsrun Hovhannisyan, denied the report, saying that their studies
revealed that the video recording wasn't done on the territory
of Armenia.
