ARMENIA EXPORTED 4,500 TONS OF APRICOTS AS COMPARED WITH 1,200 LAST YEAR - MINISTER

YEREVAN. - Armenian Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetyan on Friday
visited Spayka cargo transportation company to study procurement
of apricot.
After inspecting the cold store, Karapetyan told reporters that around
4,500 tons of apricots had been purchased this year.
"The process will continue for a month and a half, and we hope to
exceed last year's indicators," he said, recalling that 12,700 tons
of apricot was purchased in 2012.
Last year Armenia exported 1,200 tons of apricot by June 21, as
compared to 4,500 this year, he added. Besides, the price for apricot
is not different this year.
