Program to Clean-Up Yerevan Targets Hrazdan Gorge
12:50, June 22, 2013
26 garbage and water street cleaner trucks converged on Yerevan's
Hrazdan Gorge recently in the first stage of the `A Cleaner Yerevan'
program launched by Mayor Taron Margaryan.
The gorge, a popular spot with its meandering river and green space
for Yerevan residents seeking to beat the summer heat, has a tendency
to get dirtier quicker than the city's other recreational parks.
Next Saturday, the clean-up program will target another popular site,
Haghtanak Park, with its kiddie rides and the towering Mother Armenia
statue.
