Samvel Alexanyan, an MP from the Ruling Republican Party of Armenia
(RPA), plans to spend his vacation in Kobuleti, Georgia.
"Who says I do not spend my vacation in Armenia. I go to Lake Sevan
and then I go to Kobuleti," he told journalists.
According to him, he does not spend a penny on his holidays, but many
of his friends and children sponsor him.
Artsvik Minasyan, an MP from the Armenian Revolutionary Federation
Dashnaktsutyun (ARF-D), told Tert.am that he cannot save money for
summer holidays.
"I either stay in Yerevan or go to my village," he said. Minasyan
cannot afford the "luxury of an expensive holiday."
Vahram Baghdasaryan, an MP from the RPA, is going to spend his holiday
in his native town, Vanadzor - not because of financial problems,
but because of his preferences. He agrees that spending a holiday in
Armenia is much more expensive than going to Georgia. In this context,
he pointed out that tourism development requires a revision of the
pricing policy.
