3G ENTERS KARABAKH
STEPANAKERT, June 24./ARKA/. Karabakh Telecom, following international
IT standards and meeting the demand of the people of Artsakh, announced
Saturday on introducing 3G in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, the
company said.
The company presented its product in an updated corporate style at
Valex Garden Hotel in Stepanakert.
"The customers in Artsakh (Armenian name for Karabakh) will be able
to use the augmenting information available on the web and stay
connected with their friends, relatives and the world. Prepaid and
postpaid packages of wireless Internet are offered to the public,"
the company said.
"The world is moving at a fast pace under the big technology umbrella
and Karabakh should not be alienated from this development. Having
this in mind, Karabakh Telecom's 3G network is up and running helping
Karabakh to be at the forefront of the technology map. You are now

Among the visiting dignitaries were the founding representatives
and leadership of Karabakh Telecom, business representatives and
state authorities of Artsakh, who welcomed the advancement of
telecommunication services by Karabakh Telecom. Karabakh Telecom
started operating at Nagorno-Karabakh Republic's telecommunication
market in February 2002.
The company has built new mobile telecommunication stations since
then and provided most of Nagorno-Karabakh Republic's territory with
mobile telecommunication.
Karabakh-Telecom provides mobile telecommunication,
fixed and wireless telephony, Internet access via
