FURTHER POSSIBILITY TO APPLY FOR ARMENIAN CITIZENSHIP FOR PEOPLE DEPORTED FROM AZERBAIJAN
Tomorrow the amendment to the law on Armenian Citizenship adopted on
May 20 by the National Assembly of Armenia enters into force.
According to the amendment, the deadline of submission of applications
for citizenship for refugees deported from Azerbaijan is prolonged
until December 31, 2014.
The law defines that persons permanently residing in the Republic of
Armenia who are not citizens of other former USSR countries and who
apply for citizenship until December 31, 2014 are considered citizens
of the Republic of Armenia.
