17-18 THOUSAND ARMENIANS LEFT SYRIA IN TWO YEARS
As a result of the war in Syria, 17-18 thousand Armenians left the
country. Greater part of them arrived in Armenia, yerakouyn.com
reports.
The website, citing the ministry of Diaspora of Armenia, notes that
Syrian Armenians settled in Armenia are 8000. In two years, about 13
thousand Syrian Armenians arrived in Armenia, 2000 of which left for
European countries, and 3000 returned to Syria.
The Armenians settled in Lebanon are 7000. Those who left from Syria
to Europe are 2000.
