YEREVAN, JUNE 28, ARMENPRESS: The regulation of relations with
Armenia can raise Turkey's shuttered image. Such opinion expressed
political scientist Stepan Grigoryan during international conference
"Geopolitics of South Caucasus and Armenian-Turkish relations" on June
28. "The use of force against demonstrators by Turkish Government,
numerous violations of human rights shuttered the image of the country
as a dynamically developing country," he said, reports "Armenpress".
According t the political scientist for Turkey it will be right to
improve relations with Armenia. "In that case world will forgive
their mistakes," mentioned Stepan Grigoryan.
Though Armenian-Turkish relations are officially frozen, the
cooperation in public and expert level should be continued. Stepan
Grigoryan said that the civil dialogue of two societies will make
the countries to look for ways of cooperation in state level. "Of
course, we should not expect quick reaction, the process can last
for a long time but earlier or later it will happen," assured the
political scientist.
The experience showed that many people in Turkey have positive attitude
towards Armenians and it must be used and cooperation with Turkish
society should be expanded. "Besides, we have a great heritage in
Turkey and we should stand up to it. But we must do not by opposing
but with the help of cooperation with Turkish people," he said.
