Armenia files complaint to European Court on Ramil Safarov

Baku. Malahat Najafova - APA. Armenia has filed a complaint to the
European Court of Human Rights on Ramil Safarov, Deputy Justice
Minister of Armenia Ruben Melikyan said, APA reports quoting news.am.
According to Melikyan, the complaint has been filed by the legal
successors of Armenian officer Guregn Margarayn, who was killed by
Ramil Safarov in Budapest, and of another officer Hayk Mukuchyan.
The complaint says that the actions of Azerbaijan and Hungary
regarding the extradition of Ramil Safarov, Safarov's pardoning and
glorification contradicted the law.
Deputy Minister said Armenian officials have not joined the process,
but are ready to participate when necessary.
The complaint is based on article 2 (right to life) and 14
(prohibition of discrimination) of the European Convention on Human
Rights.
