ANC, ARF, `Heritage' and PAP have not decided yet

On March 11 the nomination of the political forces for May 5 Yerevan
municipal elections starts, but for now only Republican Party and
`Rule of law' have made clear decision to participate. Moreover, they
have already published the first three names in the lists and are
working on finalizing the lists.
To the contrary to Republican Party and `Rule of Law', other parties
have not yet made decision about the participation and in the event of
participation they do not have the decision of their permanent bodies
about the format.
In the previous days a lot is said about the political meetings in
different formats between the leaders of `Armenian National Congress',
ARF, `Heritage' party and `Prosperous Armenia' party.
Yesterday and today, upon the initiative of ARF, meetings were held
between the heads of ARF, `Heritage' and Prosperous Armenia' parties.
The joint participation in the Yerevan municipal elections was in the
agenda, but no final decision is made. The participants do not reveal
more information.
What is about the fact that `Armenian National Congress' did not
participate, the member of ARFArmenian General Body Aghvan Vardanyan
explained that contractual changes happened in ANC. ANC bloc does not
exist anymore and the party of ANC is not created yet. Anyway, he
confirmed that they are in favor of consolidation of non-governmental
forced and did not exclude the possibility of the meeting with ANC.
The parties participating in the elections, despite the fact whether
they will participate jointly or separately, should confirm their own
election lists.
The Election Code prescribes that the party presents the application
for participation to the Central Election Commission based on the
decision of their permanent body, and the fractions- based on the
decisions of the permanent bodies of the participating parties.
The election list of the fractions is formed by the separate list of
the parties. The order of the candidates is determined during the
meeting of the included parties and is confirmed by the permanent
bodies of the parties.
