Assemblymember Adrin Nazarian, center, presents proclamation to
ANCA-SFN chapter
GRANADA HILLS-Members of Armenian National Committee of America's San
Fernando Valley North chapter as well as members of Armenian Cultural
Foundation North Valley Chapter together with representatives from
affiliate organizations, held a first ever Cocktail Reception Mixer
for Armenian Business Professionals of San Fernando Valley on March
7 at the North Valley Armenian Community Center's Titizian Hall.
"The purpose of this event was to introduce business owners to
each other and to enhance business relationships promoting each
company's growth thus contributing to the general welfare and economic
advancement of the City of Los Angeles" said Pierre Yenokian, Chairman
of the Chapter. The impressive guest list included Assemblymember
Adrin Nazarian, Councilmember Mitch Englander (District 12) and his
aide, and Devonshire Community Police Station Captain (III) Kris E.
Pitcher,
The evening was buzzing in apparent success, with over 85 business
owners exchanging business cards and explaining the nature of their
expertise. Captain Kris Pitcher expressed his department's 24/7
readiness to assist in keeping peace and harmony while doing everything
to lower the crime rate and assured everyone with positive results of
implemented actions of the LAPD. Then Councilmember Mitch Englander
took to the podium and spoke ever eloquently concerning his close
relationship with the district and the Armenian Community Center
which lay at the heart of his District, after which he presented
the ANCA-San Fernando Valley North Chapter with a Certificate of
Commendation from the City of Los Angeles. At the height of the
evening, State Assemblymember Adrin Nazarian uplifted the crowd with
news from the California Legislature, and presented the North Valley
Armenian Community Center with a Certificate of Recognition for the
many services and help it provides the community.
A great number of the business-owners commented that the event was
very successful and they were looking forward to the next such event
which could be even bigger.
The Armenian National Committee of America-San Fernando Valley North
Chapter promotes responsible civic and political activism, as well
as social, cultural and economic betterment at grass-roots level,
as an integral part of the largest and most influential Armenian
American grassroots political organization of the Armenian National
Committee of America.
