    ARMENIA'S INFLATION IN JANUARY RISES BY 2.6 PERCENT

    YEREVAN, March 11. / ARKA /. Armenia's inflation in 2013 January
    rose by 2.6 percent from a year before, while the average inflation
    among several former Soviet republics which make the Commonwealth of
    Independent States (CIS) was 6%, the CIS Statistical Committee said.

    It said in January, compared with December 2012, consumer prices in
    Armenia increased by 2.6% (the average figure in the CIS was 0.9%).

    All the CIS countries, except for Ukraine, saw their prices to surge.

    The highest inflation of 23.1% was reported by Belarus, Kyrgyzstan
    posted a 7.6% inflation, Russia and Kazakhstan saw a 7.1% and 6.6%
    inflation respectively. They were followed by Tajikistan - 6.5%,
    Moldova - 4.6% and Azerbaijan -08%. -0-
