VivaCell-MTS supports creation of a friendly environment for learning

Development of rural communities implies systemized support. Armenia's
leading telecommunications operator has for years implemented a
variety of projects guided by this understanding. Committed to its
responsible approach, VivaCell-MTS has made just another investment
    in Armavir region.

Nine of the schools operating in Karakert, Lernagog, Myasnikyan,
Dalarik, Shenik, Argina and Arteni communities have been furbished
with modern educational equipment: the schools will now have Wi-Fi
corners and 11 3G routers operating within "Home-Zone Turbo" package.

VivaCell-MTS has allocated AMD 3,850 million for this purpose.

Cooperation with the Children of Armenia Fund facilitated significantly
to providing the support. VivaCell-MTS undertook the repair works
and the furbishing of the model classroom at the primary school N1
in Karakert renovated recently by the Fund. The classroom has two
sections: one is for classes, and the other is for team work, games,
and rest. A novelty in the class is the wall-board.

"The precondition for providing the country's progress is the
proportionate development of the rural communities. The perceptions
of the necessity to promote agriculture alone in the rural areas have
long been outdated. The challenge of communicating with the world
using innovative technological solutions today is a must regardless
of where one lives. Equipped with innovative solutions, this school
will allow the schoolchildren expressing themselves and developing in
a friendly environment. All the necessary conditions are created to
raise these smart, creative and explorative pupils into good people,"
said VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian.

Wi-Fi corners in the Karakert School will be available in the
creativity lab and the English classroom. The creativity lab
offering an original solution is a novelty in the education
system. The availability of a library and a computer lab, as well
as the opportunity to organize classes and events in the same place
    promote learners' creativity.

VivaCell-MTS continues to make investments in implementation of
long-term projects. To remind, a year ago, the Company made a
significant investment to have anti-hail system installed in the
    region.
