The rally led by Heritage party leader Raffi Hovannisian has kicked
off in Freedom square - the main venue where Hovannisian has been
holding post-election demonstrations following the February 18 vote.

Opening the meeting, Heritage Vice-chair Armen Martirosyan said
'Raffi Hovannisian had shouldered the final stage of the struggle
    -the hunger strike.'

Martirosyan said that though many citizens express their concerns
over Hovannisian's health conditions, his stamina has not reduced
    throughout the hunger strike.

"Our struggle will be crowned with victory," Mr Martirosyan announced
adding that a collection of signatures 'in support of struggle for a
new Armenia' had launched in the square. "The sun is an import part
    in our BAREVolution," he stressed.

Heritage MP Zaruhi Postanjyan started her speech by greeting the
    rally participants.

Speaking about the Constitutional Court's ruling to reject the appeals
of presidential candidates Raffi Hovannisian and Andrias Ghukasian, who
were disputing the results of the February vote, Mrs Postanjyan said,
"Judges had made a deal with the Devil and sold their conscience to
him. Maybe that Devil is Serzh Sargsyan?"

The moment the Heritage representative gave the name of the CC
President [Gagik Harutyunyan], the crowd began screaming and whistling.

Raffi Hovannisian went on hunger strike on March 10 saying he would
continue it till April 9, the day of Serzh Sargsyan's inauguration.

The Constitutional Court rejected on Thursday the appeals of Raffi
Hovannisian and Andrias Ghukasyan to invalidate the official results
of the February 18 election that gave victory to Serzh Sargsyan. The
court said that both candidates had failed to substantiate their
    allegations of widespread fraud.
