ARMENIAN AMBASSADOR TO CANADA PRESENTED EFFORTS MADE BY ARMENIA TO SETTLE NAGORNO- KARABAKH CONFLICT

YEREVAN, MARCH 19, ARMENPRESS: Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia
to Canada Armen Yeganian met with Dean Allison, Chair of Standing
Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development, House of
Commons of Canada.
In the course of the meeting the sides have discussed issues referring
to bilateral Parliamentarian relations, touched upon economic ties
established between Armenia and Canada, Information and Public
Relations Department of the Foreign Affair Ministry told Armenpress.
In this regard Ambassador Yeganian highly estimated Canadian
investment volumes in Armenia's economy. Besides Armenian diplomat
stated prospects exist for boosting Armenian-Canadian trade-economic
ties, particularly in mining industry and high technologies spheres.
The interlocutors touched upon regional security issues, in the frame
of which Armenian Ambassador presented efforts made by Armenia and
international society aimed at regulating Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
At the conclusion of the meeting Ambassador Yeganian thanked Canada
for recognizing Armenian Genocide, underscoring the need to stop
Turkish denial policy.
