DEFENSE MINISTRY DENIES ARMENIANS CROSSED AZERI CONTACT LINE

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijani defense ministry issued a statement
suggesting two Armenian citizens were allegedly detained "when crossing
the contact line between Azeri and Armenian armed forces."
"A resident of Armenia's Dovegh village, Durmush Karyan, was
detained on March 16, with resident of Aygovit village, Anahit
Shamazasovna, detained on March 17, while crossing the contact line
between Azerbaijani and Armenian armed forces in the direction of
Azerbaijan's Gazakh region. The detainees have been handed over to the
State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons,"
Azeri media reported.
In conversation with a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, Armenian defense
ministry spokesman Artsrun Hovhannisyan denied the information.
"The information is not true to fact," he said.
