    HRANUSH HAKOBYAN URGED JOURNALIST FROM DIASPORA TO ORGANIZE EXTENSIVE DISCUSSIONS ON ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

    YEREVAN, MARCH 27, ARMENPRESS: 6th session of coordinating body of
    all-Armenian journalists' conference took place on March 27 with
    participation of Armenian Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan. As
    Armenpress was informed from press and public relations department of
    Armenian Ministry of Diaspora, results of 6th session of all-Armenian
    journalists' conference and raised issues had been discussed at the
    session. Participants of the session referred to the feedback of
    press and media on Karabakh movement and 25th anniversary of Sumgait
    massacre, 2013 "Diaspora" summer trainings and other issues regarding
    upcoming regional gatherings of the press.

    Armenian Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan has noted that ahead
    of 2015, 100th anniversary of Armenian Genocide, it is necessary
    to exploit all the possibilities to have extensive discussions on
    Armenian Genocide abroad. In this term it is necessary to carry out
    some work with representatives of foreign press.

    Harut Sassounian, Armenian-American writer, public activist and
    publisher of The California Courier, has also referred to the events
    related to 100th anniversary of Armenian Genocide. As the core things
    to do he underlined three points: to define the goals, events to be
    organized and resources needed for implementation of those events.

    Other Armenian representatives of Diaspora press participated in
    the session.
