Baku-APA. General Department of Civil Aviation of Armenia (GDCAA)
will allow civil aircrafts to fly to Azerbaijan's Khankendi city,
which is under Armenia's occupation.
APA reports quoting news.am website that chief of General Department
of Civil Aviation of Armenia Artem Movsisyan told journalists.
"Flights will be operated withing the rules of international
organizations. We do not want to step on them to retreat. A lot depends
on the active work of aviation authorities of Nagorno-Karabakh. If
they complete the work, we are ready ", - said A.
Movsisyan. He refused to note exact date.
Movsisyan said that Yerevan airport is small, but nice and comfortable,
its capacity is sufficient for the planned passenger carrying. "Runway
is in good condition, safety is fully guaranteed, but there are
some unresolved minor technical issues related to the maintenance of
aircraft," - he said.
He noted that Karabakh has no civil aircraft, and flights will be
realized by 19-seat aircrafts of the Republic of Armenia. The flight
duration is 45 - 50 minutes.
