ARMENIA BECOMING RUSSIAN BARRACKS
The secretary of the National Security Council Arthur Baghdasaryan told
Yerkir Media TV he has some good news for Armenia. The good news is
the initiatives of Armenia to improve its relations with Russia and
CSTO. Arthur Baghdasaryan told how many new Russian military bases
will be deployed in Armenia.
First, the CSTO Union of Transcaucasia Forces will be deployed which is
currently under formation. He said it is going to be a key component
of security. Besides, the air bases of CSTO rapid reaction forces,
peacekeepers and most importantly CSTO Joint Air Bases will be set up.
In other words, Armenia will turn to Russian barracks in addition to
the Russian 102nd military base which is sustained by Armenia. It is
happening in the context of the wave of emigration. While the country
is emptying, people mostly leave for Russia, new Russian bases are
deployed here. Eventually, there will remain just enough people to
support the bases.
This is not the end. Arthur Baghdasaryan told that Armenia and Russia
will jointly reinforce the borders with Turkey and Iran (the border
with Georgia will be modernized jointly with Europe).
Besides, the base of Balahovit and the airport of Stepanakert will be
allocated to the CSTO Rescue Service to set up a regional rescue base.
Arthur Baghdasaryan said we will be exporting rescue service.
Another initiative is refurbishment of the observatory of Byurakan
together with Roscosmos. A seismic base will be set up jointly with
the Russian geophysical service. The Russian-Armenian state reserve
agency will be set up, a base will be set up in Armenia where Russia
will keep its state reserves. After the expiry we will be able to
buy cheap equipment and other reserves, Arthur Baghdasaryan said.
None of the Armenian political forces has wondered in parliament
what the government is doing with Armenia. Grizlov was right who said
Armenia is a Russian outpost.
Arthur Baghdasaryan says that all these levels of security are
necessary to Armenia, and we cannot do without it. Good for Russia
for helping us. He also said that Armenia has come up with such
initiatives independently.
Shoygu's visit to Armenia is producing fruits. Soon lots of Russian
schools will open in Armenia. And when Russia leaves this territory,
the rest of the population will leave. Like at the beginning of the
20th century.
