- Armenia praises Russia's efforts to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh
settlement, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian said after
the talks with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov on Thursday.
"Russia plays the most important role in ensuring stability and
security in the region," Nalbandian stressed.
He said, "Russia is Armenia's first partner and investor." "Over
1,300 joint ventures operate on the territory of Armenia. Trade has
increased by 20 percent. If we look at the past five years, these
are serious figures," the Armenian minister added.
"Military-technical cooperation, inter-parliamentary relations
and inter-regional interaction develop actively. We agreed to
continue coordinating our actions within the CIS, the CSTO and other
organisations," Nalbandian pointed out.
