"HAYATSK" YOUTH FILM FESTIVAL LAUNCHED BY MOVIE DEDICATED TO ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

YEREVAN, MAY 2, ARMENPRESS. "Hayatsk" youth film festival launched
in the Theater-Studio of Cinema Artists after prominent filmmaker
and People's Artist of the USSR Henrik Malyan on May 1. The Public
Relations Service of the Youth Foundation of Armenia informed
"Armenpress" that about 20 movies will be displayed in the
Theater-Studio of Cinema Artists after Henrik Malyan during the
upcoming two days. Among the movies to be screened are documentary
movie "Pastoral" by Arthur Ordyan, "Blissful Days" by Sona Khachatryan,
"Grandfather Margar" by Guzh Tadevosyan, "Our Marine" by Zaven
Grigoryan, "A Meeting by the Cross-Stone" by Garnik Khchoyan and a
number of other movies as well.
Movie titled "Together in the World" will be displayed at the opening
of the festival. The aforesaid movie was shot in Uruguay and is
dedicated to the first country in the world, which recognized the
Armenian Genocide, and its Armenian community as well.
Within the frames of the festival young artists will have a chance
to struggle for the top rating in the nominations "Best producer",
"Best operator work", "Best film", "Best idea". A professional jury
will choose the movies. The audience will select the winner in the
nomination "Sympathy of Audience" by a relevant voting in the web page
of the festival. The festival sponsors will also give awards to the
authors they prefer. The aim of the film festival "Hayatsk" is to give
the youth a chance to express themselves in the language of movies.
