R. HOVANNISIAN: MARGARIAN WILL NO LONGER BE YEREVAN MAYOR AFTER MAY 5

There will be an entirely different situation in Yerevan following
the May 5 elections to the Yerevan Council of Elders. The leader of
Heritage party Raffi Hovannisian made this statement at the rally in
Liberty Square of Yerevan today.
In his words, in case of free and fair elections, Hello Yerevan bloc
of parties will be the leader. He urged the opposition political
forces to unite and act jointly.
He said that after the vow taken on April 9, nothing keeps them
anymore. "We took a vow not to retreat. It is up to Yerevan residents
to decide whom to elect because responsibility lies on all of us,"
Raffi Hovannisian stated.
According to him, Taron Margarian, the son of Andranik Margarian,
will no longer be Yerevan Mayor after May 5. "Yerevan will have a new
mayor and a new municipality," Raffi Hovannisian said in conclusion.
