    ARF-D PLEDGES NOT TO RETREAT

    16:32 ~U 06.05.13

Following the Yerevan municipality poll (that saw the ruling political
force win the highest majority of votes), the opposition Armenian
Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaksutyun issued Sunday evening a
statement, promising not to give up its political campaign in future.

The party says that it joined the electoral process in an effort to
change the moral-psychological atmosphere in the country and inspire
confidence and hope in the population.

~SWe attempted to justify the importance of eliminating the ruling
party~Rs political monopoly and proposed an effective governance
    program.

We led our campaign with belief and sincerity in an attempt to offer
the Yerevan residents a program-based ideological choice.

But we have what we have. The identification of the state with the
ruling party yet another time, the boundless use of the administrative
resource and the widespread election bribes met their target.

The government monopoly toughened still more. They now have a chance
to be the sole leader of the country and [capital] Yerevan. We~Rll be
waiting for the results, though they are predictable to us,~T reads
    the statement.

The party further expresses regret that its efforts to shape the
free citizen ideology failed this time, and thanks all the Yerevan
residents who voted in their favor.
