Western Armenian and dialect of Hamshen Armenians endangered in Turkey

Western Armenian is one of the 18 languages under the threat of
disappearance in Turkey, according to theUNESCO Atlas of the World's
Languages in danger. The Homshetsma (the dialect of Hamshen Armenians)
is also endangered.
According to the UNESCO list, Western Armenian is spoken among 50
thousand people in Turkey.
The number of endangered languages in Azerbaijan and Georgia reaches
11. Homshetsma is endangered in Georgia, as well.
As for Armenia, there are only two languages in danger - Assyrian and
Pontic Greek. It's worth mentioning, however, that the Public Radio of
Armenia broadcasts news programs in 14 languages including Assyrian.
