State Department is considering appointment of a new co-chair of the
OSCE Minsk Group, U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan Richard Morningstar
said.
During his visit to Gabala, Morningstar said `works are carried out on
it in Washington.' However, Ambassador did not reveal the exact date
of the appointment, APA reported.
`Though I can not reveal the exact date of the appointment of a new
co-chair, I can say that works are carried out on it in Washington. As
the term of office of OSCE Minsk Group co-chair Robert Bradtke was
terminated, Ian Kelly was appointed to the position on an interim
basis. I have known him for a long time. Ian Kelly will take this
position till the appointment of a new co-chair,' the agency quotes
Morningstar.
