Our issue is how to impose peace on Azerbaijan - military expert

Nineteen years passed since Armenia and Azerbaijan declared about
establishing cease-fire.
Speaking to reporters today military expert Davit Jamalyan said on one
hand after 19 years we have Artsakh state which is being reinforced
from day to day, has its constitutionally registered territories, has
registered a demographic growth, while on the other hand we have
aggressive Azerbaijan.
`As compared with the 1994 the volume-worshipping trends in Azerbaijan
have become more noticeable. if something has changed in Azerbaijan
during these 19 years it changed for the worse, they have become more
aggressive,' the expert said.
Jamalyan stressed that today Karabakh has a Defense Army which has
become more `mobile' and effective.
`The potential danger stemming from the Azerbaijani armed forces is
the exaggerated military budget. But these sums have not turned into a
quality. If they were we have already been in war. The steps addressed
toward Armenia's defensiveness are of pro-active nature. Our issue is
how to impose peace on Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan is acquiring
high-quality ammunition but the correlation of forces does not change
against us,' he convinced.
At the same time Jamalyan reminded that cease-fire is not peace, but
just a passive phase, uncertainty toward future.
