Hovhannes Igityan: There is a demand for ANM in Armenian political reality

I have expressed my disagreement over the establishment of the
Armenian National Congress (ANC) party because ANC was created using
the property, financial and human resources of the Armenian National
Movement (ANM) party, member of the organizing group for ANM's
re-registration Hovhannes Igityan told Panorama.am in an interview.
According to him, ANC took an easier way - it liquidated ANM as a
party and created an absolutely different party, which has another
ideology.
There is a demand for ANM in the Armenian political reality as the
liberal-democratic field is vacant in Armenia, Igityan said.
`We are not creating the party to spite someone. We see our role and
place in solving problems faced by the country,' he said.
`We are a liberal-democratic party, unlike the Armenian National
Congress, which considers itself a social-liberal party,' Igityan
concluded.
