YEREVAN. - Armenia's Minister of Agriculture, Sergo Karapetyan, on
Wednesday received the delegation members from the German Committee on
Eastern European Economic Relations.
The delegation comprised KLAS agricultural equipment manufacturing
company official Reiner Tauscher, German Business Association Director
Patrick Jung, and German Embassy Secretary Konstantine Zelent.
The objective of the guests' visit was to study the opportunity to use
KLASS' products in Armenia, the Agriculture Ministry press service
informs. They noted that they would like to cooperate with Armenia in
this domain. The guests also showed an interest toward collaboration
with Armenia's institutions of higher education, in preparing quality
professionals for the agricultural sector.
Presenting, upon the request of the guests, the current state in
Armenia's aforesaid sector, Karapetyan noted that the updating of
agricultural equipment and machinery is very topical in Armenia and
respective talks are in progress with several countries, and therefore
KLASS' proposal is interesting, too.
`In the case of acceptable terms, it will be possible to launch a new
cooperation,' Sergo Karapetyan added.
