A fivefold increase in the natural gas tariffs will raise the number
of hungry people in Armenia, according to an opposition MP.
`That's just impermissible; we are going to see children go to bed
hungry at night,' Zaruhi Postanjyan of the opposition Heritage party
told reporters during the protest outside the Government building on
Thursday.
`When one sees the lavishness, spendthrifting and the robbery of
millions for just a couple of families, a rise in gas prices should be
disallowed to prevent a further robbery,' she added.
