ARMENIA'S FREE DEMOCRATS PARTY TO BE DISSOLVED? - NEWSPAPER
May 17, 2013 | 08:48
YEREVAN. - Armenia's opposition Free Democrats Party (FDP) could soon
dissolve and join the "restoring" Armenian National Movement (ANM),
Irates De Facto newspaper reports.
"Our source informed that internal talks have already begun with FDP,
and it is apparent that they are not at all against uniting with the
new political force.
According to our source, to avoid a possible 'collapse'
of the political party, they have decided to make a 'smooth'
transition-without severe shocks-under the aegis of the new political
force.
So, the Free Democrats Party leaders may soon state that they and
ANM members have the same ideological basis.
[But] the status of the initially two and now [solely] one member of
this party in the NA [i.e., National Assembly] faction is doubtful,"
Irates De Facto writes.
