Father of Non-Combat Victim Returned Defense Ministry's Money
The father of the 19-year-old non-combat victim L. Stepanyan has
returned 300,000 drams which the Ministry of Defense officials had
brought with them.
During the conscript's funeral they asked the MoD officials and
commanders attending the funeral what they say about his son and the
incident. After getting know answer from them they were turned out
from the house.
Ashkharhik Stepanyan, the father of the victim, learned that the MoD
officials had left 300,000 drams with his cousin, which angered the
father and other members of the family. They immediately returned the
money. `I am million-poor but I am not 300,000-poor, would I need
their money to bury my child?' he said.
