168 ZHAM: PROSPEROUS ARMENIA PARTY IS DISUNITING?
May 30, 2013
YEREVAN. - Some members of the non-pro-government Prosperous Armenia
Party (PAP) are demanding that PAP Chairman Gagik Tsarukyan discharge
three PAP MPs from the party, 168 Zham daily reports.
"They are accused of violating party discipline, [and] not carrying
out the party [National Assembly] faction's decision to vote against
the government program.
[But] in reality, the representatives of a party wing are attempting
to clean PAP from the unwanted elements; from those who consider the
PAP's mission to be cooperation with the authorities.
These [three] men became PAP members by considering the circumstance
of PAP being a [ruling] coalition party.
[But] these MPs deny the fact of the existence of inner-party
discontent in connection with them," 168 Zham writes.
