LARISA ALAVERDYAN: NO ONE IS AS MUCH CONCERNED ABOUT REGIONAL SITUATION AS ARMENIA

>From the point of view of the international law, any document signed by
presidents of any other countries, including Armenia and Azerbaijan,
is meaningless for the third, even non-recognized state, including
the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, first Armenian Ombudsperson, Executive
Director of "Against Legal Arbitrariness" Foundation Larisa Alaverdyan
told today's news conference.
According to Alaverdyan, signing any documents or holding meetings
without NKR's involvement is equal to kitchen talks.
"Withdrawal of NKR from the negotiations has become a manifestation
of good will by the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan. It cannot
be called talks," she said.
Ms Alaverdyan believes that we should work in this direction.
"No one is as much concerned about the regional situation as Armenia.
Armenia has always itself sought and found ways of achieving peace,"
she concluded.
