ARMENIA AND JAPAN TO BE CONNECTED BY CULTURAL BRIDGE

YEREVAN. - A cultural bridge will connect Armenia and Japan for one
day. The "bridge" will be held on November 14 and comprise several
events.
"Hikari" Armenian-Japanese Cultural Center Director Karine Piliposyan
told the aforesaid to Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The start of the function will be given at the center, and the event
is expected to bring together the Moscow-based representatives from
the Embassy of Japan in Armenia and guests from Japan.
The agenda of the "bridge" includes the presentation of awards,
and an exhibition of the collection of children's works.
In addition, the young students of a music school will perform the
works by Japanese composers.
"A Japanese living in Armenia will recite [great Armenian poet,
writer, and public activist, Yeghishe] Charents' poems, [and] the
others expressed their wish to perform the [Armenian folk song]
'Swallow,'" Piliposyan added.
