Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received today the ECR coordinator of
the European Parliament Foreign Affairs Committee Charles Tannock and
the deputy president of the EuroNest Parliamentary Assembly Richard
Charnetsky, the presidential press service said. The delegation was
also composed of several other members.
Noting that European integration was and continues to be an essential
component on Armenia's political agenda, Serzh Sargsyan said our
country is determined to continue with large-scale institutional
reforms for the good of Armenia and the Armenian people. In his words,
as a country fostering the European system of values, Armenia is guided
by these principles on the path of state building and development.
The interlocutors attached importance to maintaining and developing
the level of cooperation that Armenia and the European Union have
achieved in recent years.
Issues related to the European agenda of Armenia's foreign policy,
regional problems, and the peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict
were discussed at the meeting.
